The Child Development Program of the Bassett Unified School District provides a variety of services greatly needed in the community through programs such as General Center Child Care, Head Start, and California State Preschool Program. These services include programs that target the needs of individual children and families as well as children with disabilities. The program serves children from 24 months to 5 years of age.
The Child Development Program assists in the development of the child’s self-esteem, confidence and feelings of self worth through education. Children are taught to view education as the key that will assist them in becoming individuals that contribute positively to the social and economic betterment of their community.
The mission of the Bassett Unified School District’s Child Development Department is to acknowledge that we are united in a firm belief that our program will guarantee meaningful growth experiences that will meet and accommodate the cultural and individual needs of the young child, provide optimum learning opportunities with the involvement of Students, Staff, Parents, and Community to facilitate learning of a customized curriculum for student success.
